IMAGE RIGHTS AND DATA PROTECTION CONSENT

Transfer of Image Rights of Attendees to the Event

I. On the occasion of participation in any event organized by Schiller International University (hereinafter, “SCHILLER”) (collectively referred to as the “Event”), participants authorize SCHILLER to:

(a) share their identifying and professional information, as well as their image, among attendees and potential attendees of the Event;
(b) capture images, videos, and audio recordings (hereinafter, the “Content”) during the Event; and
(c) use and publish such Content for promotional, advertising, and marketing purposes related to SCHILLER’s institutional activities.

II. The Content may be transmitted, edited, and/or published in any medium, format, or platform available to Schiller to which it belongs (hereinafter, the "Media"), including but not limited to:

  • Websites (such as http://www.schiller.edu )

  • SCHILLER 's official pages on social networks (such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

  • SCHILLER’s official pages on online video and/or videoconference platforms (such as YouTube)

  • Press releases, promotional announcements, and social media worldwide in any format (television, radio, press, websites, social networks, etc.)

The Content will be shared by SCHILLER with the entities managing the Media. Some of these entities are located in the United States or other countries outside the European Union, whose legislation does not require a level of personal data protection equivalent to that of Europe, which is known and expressly authorized by the undersigned.

III. This transfer of rights is made free of charge, for the entire world, and for an indefinite period. Consequently, the processing of your personal data will also be for an indefinite period, unless you revoke your consent or request the deletion of your data, causing the content to be deleted.

IV. Personal data will be processed by SCHILLER for the purpose of managing this authorization, based on the participant’s express consent. Participants may exercise their rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation, and portability, or revoke consent, by contacting SCHILLER by postal mail at the address indicated on its website, sufficiently proving their identity and referring to this authorization.

If participants believe their data protection rights have been violated, they may contact SCHILLER’s Data Protection Officer or submit a complaint to the relevant Data Protection Authority.
