Biography

Kathalin Carvalho is a corporate compliance, ethics, and regulatory risk expert with more than two decades of experience across banking, manufacturing, investigations, international law, and nonprofit governance. Her career spans work across the United States, Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean, giving her a globally informed perspective on how organizations manage cross-border risk and regulatory compliance. Carvalho has held compliance and financial crime roles with global institutions, including Citibank, Banco do Brasil, and Jabil, where she worked on anti-money laundering programs, anti-bribery compliance, and internal investigations. In addition to her corporate background, she is actively involved in nonprofit leadership and philanthropy, advising organizations on governance, fundraising compliance, and board development. Her teaching and commentary focus on how organizations can build ethical cultures, earn employee buy-in for compliance programs, and manage regulatory risk across industries and cultural contexts.
