Heidelberg Campus Students Explore the Future of Enterprise at SAP Headquarters

Students from Schiller International University’s Heidelberg Campus recently had the exciting opportunity to gain first-hand insight into enterprise operations at the headquarters of Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing (SAP), a global leader in ERP solutions.

The visit began with an informative briefing on SAP’s rich history and its core areas of focus, including enterprise activities, professional development programs for students, and initiatives supporting employee growth. Students also learned how SAP leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) across platforms, including database searches with Copilot Joule, highlighting the role of advanced technologies in transforming business operations. Sustainability and corporate social responsibility were also key topics, providing students with an understanding of SAP’s strategic approach to energy management and factory operations.

A guided tour of the campus followed, offering students a glimpse into SAP’s infrastructure, collaborative workspaces, and corporate culture. This experience allowed them to observe how innovation is fostered throughout the organization and how its structure supports agile, forward-thinking operations.

The agenda continued with a visit to S.Mart, where students observed the store’s operations in real-time and discovered how pricing tags can be instantly updated—a practical demonstration of SAP Foundation Models in action. The day concluded at the SAP Experience Center, where students explored dashboards and intelligence systems that help multinational companies make data-driven decisions.
