Dual Degrees – Schiller International University

Immerse yourself in different cultures and increase your global career prospects.

What Is an Accredited Dual Degree?

An accredited dual degree allows anyone studying abroad with Schiller to achieve two separate qualifications from two internationally respected universities: Schiller International University and University of Roehampton. Through Schiller’s partnership with the University of Roehampton, you can pursue your chosen field and earn degrees that meet both American and European educational standards. This means that students are enrolled at both Schiller and Roehampton and, upon completing the program, will receive degrees from both institutions.

Our programs span four years for undergraduate students or one year for postgraduate studies. The programs are structured to ensure students meet the qualifications for both degrees without having to step foot on the University of Roehampton campus. This way, you can earn global accreditation and broaden your employability path.

Dual Accreditations vs. Traditional Dual Degree Programs

In a traditional dual degree program, students earn two degrees accredited by a single institution. By contrast, an accredited dual degree offers a dual recognition benefit: you earn credentials from two different accrediting bodies in two countries, making you highly desirable in the global job market. Schiller’s dual accredited programs combine the American and British educational systems, exposing students to varied cultural contexts and broader employability. Schiller International University offers accredited dual degrees, and we prepare students to tackle real-world challenges with enhanced critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to diverse environments.

Why Choose an Accredited Dual Degree?

Whether you want to expand your career prospects, build a network of professionals, or an inexpensive way to learn more, there are many benefits of an accredited dual degree.

Global Reach and Recognition

Graduates with dual accredited degrees possess both U.S. and European credentials, a combination that opens doors to broader career opportunities and greater global employability. Whether seeking positions with multinational corporations or government agencies, dual degrees from Schiller and Roehampton appeal to employers looking for candidates with diverse academic backgrounds and international experience.

Enhanced Earning Potential

Holding dual qualifications sets graduates apart in a competitive job market. With dual expertise, you are able to negotiate better salary packages, as employers recognize the range of skills and insights you bring to the table. The global recognition of these credentials also allows graduates to consider positions with more favorable compensation packages, especially in fields where international perspectives are valued.

Greater Networking Chances

A dual degree program creates a unique community of students, faculty, and industry professionals. By studying in a multicultural, dual-accredited setting, you gain exposure to a variety of cultural perspectives, an invaluable skill in today’s globalized work environment. Through internships, workshops, and networking events, students have the chance to forge long-lasting professional connections that support career growth and open doors to diverse career pathways.

More Cost-Effective

A dual degree program with Schiller International University and the University of Roehampton offers a more cost-effective path compared to traditional options. Instead of pursuing separate degrees at two different institutions, students benefit from a streamlined curriculum that allows them to complete both degrees. This condensed approach reduces the overall time and financial investment that would otherwise be required for two distinct programs, allowing you to save on tuition, housing, and additional costs.

Dual Accreditation Thesis

For both undergraduate and graduate programs, completing a thesis is essential to receive the University of Roehampton degree. Undergraduate students can start their thesis after 60 credits and must perform empirical research based on real organizations, while graduate students must produce a thesis addressing relevant business or strategic challenges. This includes surveys, face-to-face interviews, and focus groups. The thesis fosters analytical, research, and professional skills essential to international work environments.

University of Roehampton

We have partnered with University of Roehampton to offer a number of dual accredited degrees. The degree you will acquire from the University of Roehampton will allow you to enter the global job market without any limitations or barriers. While the United Kingdom isn’t part of the European Union, it is a member of the EHEA, meaning that all degree programs in the UK adhere to the bologna process guidelines.

The University of Roehampton, based in London, has a rich heritage tied to four historic colleges—Digby Stuart, Froebel, Southlands, and Whitelands—each established in the 19th century. Roehampton’s strong academic framework and dedication to research have earned it a top-ranking reputation in the UK; in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF), Roehampton was recognized as one of the leading modern universities in the UK for its research impact, with 77% of its submitted research ranked as either “world-leading” or “internationally excellent.”*
