Optional Practical Training

If you are an international student completing your degree at Schiller’s Tampa campus, Optional Practical Training (OPT) provides a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in the United States. OPT is available to international students on an F-1 visa, allowing you to work for up to 24 months in the U.S. post-graduation. This program enables you to apply what you’ve learned directly in professional settings, build critical industry connections, and gain invaluable experience for a future career in the U.S.

How to Transfer Between Campuses

At Schiller, we’ve simplified the process to make intercampus mobility easy and flexible. To transfer between campuses, students must be in good academic standing, officially enrolled, and meet all progress requirements. Transfers occur between terms and require students to arrange for their own visa applications, accommodations, and health insurance as needed for their destination campus. With these basics in place, you are free to move between our global campuses.

Financial Stability

You must not have any outstanding financial obligations with the institution.

Be in Good Academic Standing

You must have a grade point average (GPA) of a minimum of 2.0.

Legal Status

You must have an approved legal status to study in the respective receiving country.

Same Degree Program

The campus must offer the same degree program that the student is enrolled at in the current location.

We will determine if there is sufficient space and resources to accommodate you.
