Newly elected Student Council at Heidelberg Campus!

Schiller International University – Heidelberg Campus, is extremely proud to announce the winning candidates for the Student Council Elections 2017!

A massive congratulations to everyone who ran in the election and took part in the campaign, and a huge thank you to everyone that voted – you’ve helped make the Students’ Union what it is.

The students of Schiller Heidelberg Campus will be represented by Baran Pourtahmaseb-Sasi (BA International Relationship and Diplomacy; right on picture), Donya Jahedmanesh (BS International Business; middle) and Darren Johnson (BS International Business; left).

Baran Pourtahmaseb-Sasi is a US Army Veteran, now studying his Bachelors in International Relations and Diplomacy. As President of Heidelberg’s Student Council, his vision is focused on improving the overall culture and experience of the student body in all possible aspects. By personally selecting his 6-member volunteer cabinet in addition to the elected Vice President and Treasurer, he is confident in setting a new Student Council standard at SIU.

Donya Jahedmanesh started her studies at SIU’s Madrid’s Campus in “International Tourism and Hotel Management“. In August 2017, she transferred to the Heidelberg Campus, as well as changed her degree to “International Business”. She is serving as the Student Council Vice President and her priorities include developing and ensuring that the plans and goals of the Student Council are met.

Darren Redrick Johnson, airborne war veteran, is an IB major who also serves as the Student Council Treasurer. His goals as Treasurer is to facilitate clubs for business students to utilize the tools they learn at Schiller and employ them for their personal growth, as well as the aid of the Student Council to improve the quality of life for the student body.

TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE!

Students at SIU’s Madrid campus took part in the student council elections this week. The SIU student council serves as a voice for the student body and works closely with the university administration. Our candidates worked hard and campaigned in order to gain the support from their peers.

Congratulations to our new student body President, Gabriela Albertini. Gabriela is a fourth year International Business major. Her main message throughout her campaign was, “I really want to make the best of our budget and plan as many trips and activities as possible. Let me make my last year at Schiller your best one!” We are looking forward to a great year here at Schiller Madrid with Gabriela at the helm!
