German Unity Day

We wish all of our students a happy holiday tomorrow. Due to the German Unity Day Heidelberg campus will be closed. The German Unity Day is a national holiday commemorating the reunification from 1990, where the former Eastern part of Germany (GDR) joined the Federal Republic of Germany.

The fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989, paved the way towards this national big day which remarked a huge step toward Germany’s unification.
