Associate of Science Degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management

Internship Opportunities

Industry-based internships are currently available only to students in the undergraduate program in International Hospitality and Tourism Management.

These internships provide opportunities to students to learn processes and practices in the real world. Students observe, learn and practice hospitality services in an American setting in:

• Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, FL
• Hotels, Resorts & Motels
• Restaurants
• Convention and Visitors Bureaus (CVBs) - Regional Tourism Promotion Agencies
• Chambers of Commerce - Local Tourism Promotion Agencies

Eligibility:

Students who have been enrolled in the undergraduate program in International Hospitality and Tourism Management for at least two full semesters (Fall and Spring) and are registered for full time study, i.e. 12 credits during the semester of internship, are eligible to participate. Contact the Schiller International University Internship coordinator for more details.

Walt Disney World Internships

For a one of a kind "Disney Experience" where students live, work and study in an international environment for one full semester, Schiller International University offers this internship opportunity, in collaboration with Disney International College Program. A Disney recruiter will visit the campus each Fall and Spring semester to select from the interested student pool for the paid internship at Walt Disney World, Orlando, FL, for the following semester. While working in front-line roles at the Walt Disney World Resort, this truly unique program allows participants the opportunity to:

• Learn important business philosophies and transferable skills from Disney leaders
• Gain real-world experience from a highly admired company, which can be invaluable on any résumé and noticed by future employers
• Make friends from around the world while living in fully furnished, gated apartment complexes with security and deluxe amenities
