· Complete the official visa request form
Each is explained below:

· Degree choice. What degree do they hope to obtain.
· Length of studies. How long they expect it will take to complete their degree.
· How their studies in the past have helped to prepare for the degree chosen. (Graduate Level)
· What are their career plans when returning to their home country after completion of the degree.
2. The CV should include:
· Name, address, phone, e-mail (complete contact information)
· Education Names of your previous schools, dates of attendance and what you have studied.
· Languages spoken and indicate if you have studied in the English language previously.
· Previous work experience, if relevant, with name and address of previous employers, job title, duties.

The price is very reasonable and has only 100 CHF deductible per year.
4. OFFICIAL VISA APPLICATION FORM: see the link below.
WHO NEEDS A STUDENT VISA TO STUDY IN SWITZERLAND?
The Swiss authorities will grant an entry visa to anyone who wants to study in Switzerland providing the student has a clear idea of what they hope to accomplish, clearly explained in their written career plan.
· Everyone, including US citizens need a Student Visa to study in Switzerland.
· Except students from: Japan, Singapore, Malaysia
· Except EU citizens (see list on page 4)
· Romania and Bulgaria still need one at this time, even though they are now part of the European community.
· 4 months are needed to process a VISA. (In some cases this can go faster)
- It starts with the student visiting the Swiss embassy in his/her own country.
- Documents are then sent to Lausanne, Switzerland by the Swiss embassy.
(Lausanne is the city in the Canton (State) of Vaud the visa processing office is located in.)
- In certain cases, the file is then sent to Berne, the Swiss capital, for a second check.
(The file then is returned to Lausanne for a final decision.)
- This entire process can take up to four months especially for the September intake as all
non-Swiss students from kindergarten to university level need visas to start school. September is
the busiest time. The Canton de Vaud in Lausanne processes 15,000 visas a year with a staff of 4 (four) people.
- Each file is individually and carefully read. The study plans in particular are an important part of the decision.
The visa office wants to be assured that studying in Switzerland in the chosen school and program is going to
facilitate the future of the student.
· There are no country restrictions for Swiss student visas - NONE
· Age Restrictions: minimum age of 18 (within first semester).
· No need for a large financial deposit. Our campus provides room and board and this is included in the fees paid,
therefore the only extra money needed to enter Switzerland is what may be needed for personal expenses.

no need for a minimum balance.
· One semester must be paid in advance.
· English skills: There is a need for proof of English language skills (TOEFL, IELTS) or if they have
studied in an Anglophone environment, it must be specified.
· Working in Switzerland :

- As of the second semester students may work up to 15 hours per week under an official work contract.
Before taking any employment they must to apply for authorization from the Employment office.
- During holidays, students are allowed to take a temporary job full time or an internship
